" In 1990 I earned my Master's degree in School Counseling at James Madison University and began my career as a school counselor in Waynesboro City Schools. In 2000 I began working as the school counselor at Spotswood Elementary School and have been there ever since. It has been a joy for me to work in Harrisonburg City Public Schools and serve the Spotswood community for all that time. I believe children should have a voice and someone to listen to that voice - that's why I became a school counselor.
Both of my children, who are grown now, attended Spotswood Elementary, Thomas Harrison Middle, and graduated from Harrisonburg High School. My husband is the HCPS photographer so you could say that we are pretty committed to Harrisonburg City Public Schools.
My husband and I live just outside of Harrisonburg with our two dogs, four cats, and seven chickens. We love music and attending music festivals, going to the beach, and sitting by the river with friends. "
