Social Emotional Goal

We believe learning happens best in a healthy environment. We want all students to develop social and emotional skills to be successful. We should build a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for every member of the HCPS community.

 

Our Commitments:

1. All staff will integrate social-emotional learning into their daily practices such as Restorative Justice, Trauma Informed Care, Bullying Prevention, and Self-Care for Staff.

2. A team at each school building will use survey data to conduct professional learning for their school around the four social emotional core competencies: Growth Mindset, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Self-Efficacy.

3. When students are struggling, we will take a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to meet their needs
