On Monday, September 29th, the Parent Committee has a fundraising event at Dairy Queen (address: 1755 Virginia Ave) from 4pm-7pm.-Culture day on Monday, September 29th. Students and staff are invited to wear traditional clothing or a T-shirt that represents their family.-Bluestone is looking for a small grill that you are looking to part with. We will be using the grill for our Fall and Spring Community Meals.-Our Fall Community Meal will be on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:30pm-Our Parent Committee meets on Tuesday, October 7 at 5:30. Childcare is provided for school aged children. Students’ birthdays: We strive to celebrate each child’s birthday in a fun way that does cause distractions from learning. Every student’s birthday is announced on our daily school announcements and they receive a birthday card. If you choose to provide a snack, please coordinate with the teacher, in advance, to be aware of student allergies and the best time. Teachers will distribute any snacks at the most convenient time for the class.  We typically do not celebrate birthdays or distribute snacks at lunch. Dear families, Being at school every day for the entire day is an essential part of school success for all students. We also know that with doctor's appointments and family circumstances, it is sometimes necessary to pick students up early from school.   If you need to pick up a student early from school or make a dismissal change, we ask that you do so before 3:00pm. Picking up students after 3:00 can interfere with our daily dismissal and end of day classroom routines.  Thank you for helping us create a predictable and safe routine for the end of the day for all students!
