Senior Service Honor Cord 2024 - 2025
Seniors,

You have the opportunity to earn an honor cord, to be worn at graduation, by completing a set amount of volunteer hours and turning in the required documentation using this Senior Service form. 
 

To earn a senior service honor cord, you must complete a minimum of 50 volunteer hours. These hours can take place during the summer coming into your senior year as well as during your senior year. The completion date to submit your hours is April 7, 2025. This allows time to place and receive the order for the cords. Please keep in mind that participation and earning this honor cord is voluntary. It is not required to graduate. 
 

Volunteering does not have to be complicated. Our biggest concern in your volunteering is that you do it in a way that is safe and approved by your parent/guardian. Some ideas of ways to volunteer include, but are not limited to:

• tutoring
• lawn work/shoveling snow
• chores around your house
• mentorship with a class at HHS, BRCC, or MTC
• volunteering through a club
• JROTC event volunteering
• service work at your place of worship
• babysitting

Class of 2025 Graduation!

More information will be provided to students throughout the year and as we get closer, as well as a Mandatory practice on June 6th. 

Following graduation from HCPS, student email accounts will be suspended and their chromebook will be released from HCPS management.   Please read over the following estimated timelines for 2025. Access to email will go away approximately one week after graduation. 

If students are wishing to keep any school files you must either: 

• use a personal computer and download files from your Google Drive
• Use a flash drive to download the files you wish to keep

On Tuesday, June 17, 2025 all graduate's HCPS Google Accounts will be disabled. 

• Your HHS google account will no longer work
• You will no longer be able to access your school email or Google Drive. 

On Tuesday, June 17, 2025 your chromebook will be released from HHS management. 

• You must power your chromebook on and connect to wifi between June 17 and June 19 in order to for the release to take effect.  
• To continue using the device after the release, you will need a personal Google email to log onto the device. 
• After the release, the chromebook is yours and HCPS can no longer filter, manage, or support it.
